What is Included in the HVAC Cleaning Procedure
You have already heard and read a lot about HVAC, but you are not sure what is included in the cleaning procedure. We decided to present to you the main five steps of every air duct cleaning procedure.
1. The first step – Calling the professionals
When you decide to clean clogged HVAC full of dirt and debris, you call trained HVAC professionals. Do not try to clean it yourself because this procedure demands proper and safe use of HVAC-related tools. There are only a few things you can do, changing filters, for example. Our technicians will turn off the furnace and protect the furniture in your house before starting.
2. The second step – Installing the vacuum system
Lowe΄s cleaning services technicians will hook up the vacuum hose from the truck to the ductwork of your furnace. The vacuum system will remove all dirt and debris from the air ducts.
3. The third step – Brushing of ducts while the HVAC system is under negative pressure
Rotating brushes and air whipping tools move settled dust so it can be sucked into the vacuum easier.
4. Sanitization of vents – as the fourth phase
Our technicians will spray the ductwork with an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal wash to sanitize vents. Sanitization is necessary and brings many benefits.
5. The last phase – Cleaning the remaining part of the System
Some fine tuning comes in the end. It includes the final inspection of the furnace, air blower motor, evaporator coil, drain pan, and more. Technicians will carefully return everything to its proper place and turn the system back on. In the end, you can see the results thanks to the vent camera inspection.
